Tim Gorrill
I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Colorado Christian University.
In my role as a clinician, I prioritize honesty, integrity, and authenticity in my interactions with clients. I am deeply committed to understanding what motivates individuals, encouraging their growth, and assisting them in integrating and navigating their life experiences.
As a marriage and family therapist, I believe in the transformative power of relationships. Viewing therapy through a marriage and family lens allows us to explore how our connections shape our identities and perceptions of the world. This relational approach fosters personal growth for both families and individuals, enhancing their self-awareness, value identification, and narrative of their life experiences.
My primary theoretical framework combines existential theory with cognitive behavioral therapy. While it's essential to recognize how our past influences our present, I see it as my duty to guide clients in embracing personal accountability and supporting them on their journey toward wellness. Our sessions will focus on examining self-beliefs, understanding their origins, and exploring their impact on daily life. Additionally, I incorporate the principle of wellness, which encompasses the mind, body, and spiritual or religious practices.
I advocate for a collaborative approach in achieving your therapeutic goals, utilizing talk therapy, tailored homework assignments, and personalized treatment plans.
